COURSE DESCRIPTION:


Attention will be given to the use of this technology to enhance curriculum and professional development as an educator. It is our goal to develop the confidence and comfort necessary to make technology an embraceable tool for great teaching and great education. 

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

Upon completion of the course, you should be able to:

  1. understand the importance of integrating technology into teaching.
  2. be acquainted with different types of technology that can be used inside the classroom and how to identify specific teaching and learning problems which technology can help address.
  3. Plan and implement for effective technology integration.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS AND GRADING SYSTEM

  1. Written Outputs and Class Participation
  2. Oral presentation and group’s written report
  3. Portfolio
The portfolio contains the following:
    1. All the written outputs in class (research paper, assignments, quizzes, seat works, exams)
    2. Individual reflective journals about the group work
    3. Individual reflective journals about the course, classmates and teacher
    4. Other inputs relative to the course
(Note: The portfolio will be rated using a rubric.)
